So I was in the middle of my daydream about the full history/lore of crk world in general, there's lots of things to unpack but I think I just forgot em already😭 anyways, here's some ideas for the pre-corruption and early off the oven beasts

The beasts' names: Since they're from the first batch of cookies to be made, I think the witches named them based on their ingredients or so, so I pick the already existing cookie-related names for them here.

Whole Wheat cookie

Chai​ Spice cookie

Light Milk cookie

Soft Sugar cookie

Sea Salt cookie

-Headcanon​ that they're the one to defeat the witches, save the other living cookies, somehow split reality to another realm which then becomes earthbread, and uses the knowledge that they had learned from the witches to build civilization there. Hence the cookies in ancient time worshipped them and call them their god.

-They're​ obviously more powerful than normal cookies but I don't think as much as they currently are, the size difference still wasn't much to be noticable at least.

-Light Milk cookie is the smart one, the first one to learn how to use magic and discover how to create/extract life powder, maybe even procreation too. (he ain't blue, just really light cyan)

Um​ spoilers​ ​for newcomers​ -​Time​ travel is a thing in crk appearantly? Ykno,​ with White lily and Dark enchantress thingy. So it's possible for Gingerbrave and the gang to be from the first batches who didn't escaped with the beasts but instead stumbles into the already developed earthbread, somehow.

-fancy colors of the cookies are the side effects of magic maybe? Like, the cookies made by witches (older release cookies like Gingerbrave, Moonlight etc. ) are very average-normal-edible-cookies looking while the ones born on later eons look a bit different.. Spoilers for witch's castle -Since the​ first cookies are witches turned(possessed) cookies, the beasts WILL have beef. Even though in my opinion, they're not the same group of witches that made them, them vengeful asses just don't care. But also, they probably won't going to appear until some time later when the mess of ancient heroess vs no longer heroes starts, if DEVSIS ever going to import them in crk in case witch's castle flops(they fr flops)

Aight​ Reader​ might be coming in as one for the surviving cookies from the early age, seduced all em five great beings, died of old age, revived by one of them gods when they got corrupted and are no longer gods(I bet 20bucks it's SM), beasts got trapped a d they went out to find a way to get them out; just to died again by accident while the beasts still in the tree- no not really change that to sleeping, so then they can wake up again when the tree fucking snaps in half and the beasts break free, with the power of magic or love, a booty call or something like that, now we're back again with a newfound harem trailing behind us. Sweet.

Not only do I NOT vibe with the idea that they're related, I'm actually really annoyed that it's as popular as it is lol. It doesn't even make sense. Burning Spice was in prison for thousands of years; when, where and how did he have a kid? At what point in time did this occur? Capsaicin is a young man. A regular mortal, outside of his "Spice Overlord" thing. I ask you all again: when? Where? How? WHY? Has anyone ever actually thought this through?

"ThEy LoOk SiMiLaR" okay, and? So fucking what? Neither of them own the concept of "long hair" or "muscles" or "sharp teeth". Pitaya has those too, and he has an arguably more substantial connection to Capsaicin because they're actually from the same fucking area. Happenstance. Lots of characters in this game have similar attributes, that doesn't necessarily mean anything

Burning Spice was serving a life sentence since long before Capsaicin was even thought of, he literally got out after the guy was already a grown ass man. The Wild Spices mistake Cap for Spice from behind, and then get confused when he turns around because THEY VERY CLEARLY DO NOT KNOW WHO HE IS AND HAVE NEVER SEEN HIM BEFORE! Wouldn't an army know if their general had a son, even if it was only mentioned in passing? Wouldn't THIS army have a vested interest in having their general's son around if he existed, and stop at nothing to bring him home should he vanish, to gain favor with Spice and because of how powerful Capsaicin is and how useful he could be to them?

I wouldn't be so bent out of shape about all this if it wasn't LITERALLY FUCKING EVERYWHERE!!! I cannot enjoy any content of Burning Spice OR Capsaicin without having to endure a fucking barrage of "hurr durr father and son" posts!!! In your opinion, who is the weakest ancient?

Hollyberry in terms of feats…I think?

Look, I’m not calling this in Game terms, in game terms the worst is Dark Cacao (Aka Devsis should REALLY improve Cacao as a charge cookie)

But in Lore terms, technically all the Ancients are equal in power to each other. Seeing the scene with Hollyberry and Dark Cacao fighting in ‘The Council of Heroes’ Pure Vanilla and DE’s fight during the opening cutscene and Golden Cheese’s sheer will of building a whole digital city using the souls of everyone in her city, I’d say that most of them are equal in terms of power…

So in terms of feats, Hollyberry or Pure Vanilla would be the weakest I believe.

In terms of all the characters’ origin stories,

Pure Vanilla received his Soul Jam some time during a Pilgrimage or before a Pilgrimage and lead cookies down the Sugar-Free Road/Path, and once the journey concluded, started building a kingdom using his Soul Jam alone. (I think, since that’s what Clotted Cream implied the Soul Jam could do)

However prior to Pure Vanilla even taking the Pilgrimage, he first had to graduate in Blueberry Yogurt Academy, which is implied to have been a school that was for people gifted in magic. (Like Parfaedia but has forbidden magic and shit) Pure Vanilla and White Lily Cookie were both gifted in their own ways, to the point where Pure Vanilla would purposefully get himself a lower score so that White Lily could be the top student. Overall, both Pure Vanilla and White Lily were skilled in Dark Moon Magic. Where Pure Vanilla was implied to have used Dark Moon Magic during the Final Battle with DE.

Along with learning Dark Moon Magic, he is also skilled in Light Magic/White Magic, which gives him properties like Restoration and Healing magic. In addition to that, it is likely that this magic also grants protection magic, amplifies physical skills and is useful against Black Magic. (As Pure Vanilla told Financier Cookie that he too was ‘blessed by the Light’)

The only flaw he has is that he only uses his magic to benefit other cookies and does not seek to use it for harm, only in rare occasions such as fighting Dark Enchantress Cookie, is when he steps in and uses his magic… (Makes sense since he’s basically based off JESUS-)

Next to White Lily Cookie who’s skills might even surpass Pure Vanilla Cookie. She was academically smart and could even learn Dragonsworn (How the hell do you spell this) She was always a curious soul, with us barely knowing a thing about her other than her power as Dark Enchantress Cookie.

Even then, DE is POWERFUL, being able to summon 3 monsters that would’ve turned the Creme Republic into ruins if the Ancient Heroes hadn’t arrived, note to mention she notably BEAT them the first time, forcing PV to destroy the Soul Jams in an effort to win the war. (Yes they WERE destroyed and little bits and pieces scattered across Earthbread, as confirmed by Clotted Cream and Hollyberry)

If my theory is correct, that if cookies that are directly made by Earthbread’s ‘godly beings’ (Witches and Wizards) They are much stronger than the cookies in Earthbread because the original inhabitants were just the crumbs of Earthbread. Which means that if DE was rebaked from the Witches, she must’ve had a MASSIVE power boost…so much so that it took GINGERBRAVE to stop her because as he was baked by a Witch directly, he was just as strong as DE.

Next would be Dark Cacao and WOAH BOY THIS MAN-

Dark Cacao defeated not one, but TWO dragons in his youth alone, so much so that the people described it as Dark Cacao ‘SHATTERING NIGHT AND DAY’ Which in most Asian countries that could allude to Dark Cacao being a god of some sort. (Or an over exaggerated version of lightning)

He was able to build a kingdom despite its poor conditions and funding (As Dark Cacao’s Kingdom is actually very poor, relying on Hollyberry and Pure Vanilla’s Kingdom’s to fund for supplies since even food was scarce in his Kingdom)

All the rules in his Kingdom seem to stem from survival alone, it’s hard combat styled military originally being from a state of survival.

Dark Cacao fought his son, three times and twice did he avoid death, Dark Choco sliced him off before getting banished and fell off the HIGHEST wall and fucking survived WITHOUT his Soul Jam. After that, when on to fight his son, AND the Licorice Sea like he didn’t fall off a fucking Wall moments prior, like I’d expect the guy to have AT LEAST memory loss, but no, this guy walked up to his sword and started fighting without question, my guy was even implied to have been POISONED by Affogato and he was still going on like a champ.

Other than that, Berserk Cacao is implied to have been the power of his Soul Jam, using the sheer might of his will to escape Pomegranate’s spell alone, Berserk Cacao is implied to be a defense mechanism or at least a strong defense desire to be released from the spell that gave his son SO MUCH TRAUMA.

As seen with Golden Cheese, the Soul Jam can give a cookie they’re deepest desires, if the cookie chooses to, that said since Dark Cacao DEEPLY desired to defend himself from the magic and the forces that dare seek to harm him, he turned into Berserk Cacao.

Then, we have Golden Cheese, and honestly? Even in game she’s so FRUSTRATING to fight, my girl got worshiped as a goddess to the point even her origins are god-like. She created a whole digital world with her Soul Jam alone, BY HERSELF, and hid it from everyone else.

Though she is greedy, she is still powerful, as much as the Digital Realm might have fulfilled any desire she wished, it makes me wonder if it could actually achieve such feats in the real world. I’m not finished with her chapter yet. (Mostly because 18-20 is KICKING MY ASS) It’s clear that SHE IS POWERFUL.

As for Hollyberry, her feats include fighting dragons…a lot of dragons…she was implied to have been a dragon hunter some time either before or after she became queen. Earning the alias ‘Pinkyberry Cookie’ even then ‘Pinkyberry Cookie’ was a famous dragon hunter next to Tarte Tatin Cookie. Hollyberry was also able to walk through Beast Yeast, implying that she met Tea Knight Cookie there or something (I don’t remember if she met him in Beast Yeast or outside Beast Yeast) but compared to the rest?

Hollyberry’s only known notable combat is using her shield and fighting dragons…compared to the feats others have done.

Both Pure Vanilla and Hollyberry could be the weakest in terms of feats.

But in terms of power? All of them are at least equal, since they all have the same amount of power in their Soul Jams. I think when it comes to how each individual character wields their Soul Jam, it could make them the weakest?

In the end, I’m not really sure…

Why Peppercorn and why a werewolf? Welp, Werewolf Cookie himself has a one sided tension relationship char with her, remarking her scent is similar to his (because they're made of the same ingredient), but I wanted to play with that :0.

I stablished werecreatures can identify other living things by scent, including recognizing other werecreatures (the range of features in base form can vary in quantity, so not all of them are easy to distinguish at just plain sight), so now they have similar scent cuz they're both werewolves.

I also recontextualized her: canonically, she's from another land that isn't Yogurca but migrated there. I stablished she's from the Dragon's Valley (her outfit is now based on the ones we've seen from other characters from that region), but never traveled to Yogurca.

She studied in Scovillia in the past, and there she met Chili Pepper. They not only became friends, but also became gfs and started a "be gay do crime" life style (they just stole stuff together, but always more in the stealthy way. Only recurred to violence to deffend from security systems, never gave the first hit or organized armed robberies). One day they were spotted during a robbery and had to flee, but Chili's greed won the battle and she prioritized the stolen treasures over Peppercorn, leaving her behind and betraying her trust (that also ended their relationship).

Yeah, it's an alternate version of the canon events xd. Like in canon , they reunited years later and were forced to navigate a place together, where a similar situation to the one back then happened. Peppercorn was obviously pretty mad, so they had an argument. Chili reflected about what really mattered to her, and for once, she renounced to getting the treasure and helped Peppercorn escaping the place.

It's obvious Devsis doesn't want Chili Pepper to evolve, she was kept as an eternal comic relief and didn't consider Peppercorn her friend to begin with. Still don't understand how canon Peppercorn could consider Chili Pepper trustworthy.

Canon Peppercorn is portrayed as someone who values having someone to trust, but the writing of that update was awful (and the update in general was horrible).

the racism also has something to do with the monkey boss in ep four which uses some type of "voodoo" magic. pretty bad considering that voodoo is a closed practice for black communities in the Americas(I am not too sure on voodoo practices but I'm pretty sure the practices originated in Haiti- but please do correct me if I am wrong) and considering the common knowledge of the usage of the word monkey as a slur against black people this character gives really racist connotations.

Possibly it’ll bring in Rockstar, but I don’t know. I mean, currently his design might be a bit too simple for an Epic, and Devsis doesn’t seem like they’re planning on really adding Rares. But hey, you never know. Or maybe they’ll give him a new design like they did Cream Puff?

Someone suggested the Cake Pops, but considering we already have BTS, I’m not sure we should be bringing another one in

But yeah, going back to the theme, assuming it is music based, well then one thing is that currently, we don’t have any expected Legendaries/Dragons/Ancients with a music theme (I mean Lotus kind of does, but we just got Pitaya, I doubt they’ll bring Lotus in so soon, plus they’d probably mention it if so), so as far as that goes, we might not get any new ones this update. I mean they could add in a new Super Epic or even Legendary, but I doubt they’re going to do that for music

Okay uhh rant about CRK and Advenberry (negative) under the cut (minor spoilers for ep 17)

So I've played through nearly all of ep 17 (stuck on 17-30), and it seems that Devsis are trying to push Advenberry as canon or at least very near close to it. And I HATE it. Not because I ship Adventurer with Eclair (weird rarepair, I know) but because the ship feels like it has some kinda gross implications.

For the longest time, in CRK canon specifically, the most we've known about Addie and Blackberry's relationship was in the At the Mansion bond story. And, in it, Addie is explicitly stated to be a child. Likely a young one, based on the wording. And Blackberry, at the same time, is employed as a maid for his family. Based on that information, it's highly likely that in CRK canon, Blackberry could have been an adult when Addie was a small child. That alone makes her feel more like a parental figure to him than anything. There's never any mention of parents, so she very well could have been the one to raise him. The idea that they could be romantically involved feels... icky. To me, at least.

My first thought at Addie's line in ep 17 about a Cookie waiting for him, like many probably thought, is that he was talking about Blackberry. Not because I ship it, but because Blackberry is the only Cookie he's really shown to know personally in CRK. It would make more sense for him to be referring to her rather than for a completely new relationship to be introduced. My immediate hope with it was that the relationship between Adventurer and Blackberry would be kept purely in a platonic sense. However, his wording in the scene suggests otherwise. Furthermore, when talking to Olive later on the matter, his hesitance to talk and his avoidance of directly answering Olive's questions only accentuates the intention of the writing. It's fanservice. Devsis knows how popular of a ship Advenberry is, and they're sticking shipping fuel for it into the story.

Like I said, I hate it. In CRK, Devsis have already implied a huge age gap, and while age gaps on their own aren't inherently bad, I do believe that the specific situation for it here— with Blackberry having known Addie when he was a child while she herself may have been an adult— delves into a morally questionable territory. It feels like they're diving headfirst into the fanservice without any regard to what they've already established.

Also, I know that CROB canon implies that they were childhood friends, but I don't care about CROB. Same characters, different universe.

I should say here, no hate to anyone who ships Advenberry! I understand that what I've mentioned here are only implied and not hard, solid canon. As of now, there's no solid proof as to the moral status of Advenberry. This is more a complaint about Devsis's writing and planning.

i think dreamweaver cookie is intended to be read as more of a sand man figure, given their hat and overall clothing style, but i think they should have leaned harder on the traditional european folklore aspect of the myth. i really think its the blue that makes them too similar to Moonlight Cookie and if they had used a different highlight colour they probably would be a bit more unique.

merchant I was browsing the crk wiki at random and was super impressed at how well-researched mystic flour's entire page was. they wrote such an in-depth analysis on her personality and ended on a beautiful metaphor with how her relationship with dark cacao is: "like how a white cloud would contrast a black stone. Instead of standing as a bulwark against conflict, she envelops others in a fog of visions to obscure their path forward and render them helpless, until they have no choice but to acknowledge their own futile actions. But though a cloud can never be harmed by a stone, a stone can never be moved by a cloud in return" like holy crap I really recommend reading the entire thing it's amazingly well written. then I thought "I need to see what they wrote about the relationships between other beasts and their ancients." I got to burning spice next. scroll down. motherfucker has 2 small paragraphs describing his personality in the most barebone sense 🫠 NO METHAPHOR NO NOTHING... Smlik is better but not by much... there is clear favortism afoot in this wiki 🤨

He's based on Shiva, the Hindu god of destruction. There's so much that can be said with that. There's so much that can be said about his dynamic with Golden Cheese. How they compare and contrast. How GC herself mirrors aspects of Hindu mythology, just like he does, in tandem with him. I could honestly go on about it forever because I actually did look into it out of curiosity, and the parallels are unreal. Everybody did them BOTH dirty tbh, can't believe the disrespect
